Taking Steps Into the Future

The 8th graders at Riverdale Middle School are taking huge steps into discovering their future this semester. Following a time of career assessment, research projects, and goal setting challenges, the 8th graders are now experiencing small group tours specific to their future interests and career paths. They have visited John Deere Davenport Works, the Hands on Trades Expo at the National Guard Armory in Davenport, IA, Western Illinois University for their Criminal Justice / Public Safety Open House Workshops, and Hammond-Henry Hospital in Geneseo, IL. With each of these trips and the several more that are planned in the future, our students are stepping into the world of work and gaining experiences that will guide them in the future. Keep checking back as we tour more facilities, engage in resume writing, and gear up for the annual 8th grade Interview Day in May. Your Riverdale Rams are preparing for a great future.
