Volleyball Starting Strong

September 2nd, 2025, the Riverdale Lady Rams Volleyball Teams had their home opener. This was also their first conference game. The Rams played the Monmouth-Roseville Titans. The freshmen and sophomores teamed up to make one whole team to dominate the court over the JV Titans. They took the win in two sets to foreshadow the varsity game. During the varsity game, the Rams won in two sets after a rocky start to the first set. The scores of the varsity matches were 25-16 and 25-14. Leading the Rams with kills were Kenadie Willemkens with five, Cayleigh Hungate with four, and Sarah Mitton with four. In aces, Lola Wainwright had four, and Amarah Coleman had three. 

September 4th, 2025, the Lady Rams traveled to Rockridge to take on the Rockets in their second conference game. The Rams had a full sweep through all age levels. All age groups, including the freshmen/sophomores, JV, and the varsity team, won their games in two sets. The varsity game was won in two sets with the scores of 25-12 and 25-15. Leaders for the Rams were Kenadie Willemkens with nine kills, Hungate with four kills, and Preslie Willemkens with three kills. The leaders with aces in this were Wainwright and Hungate. Wainwright had three aces and provided 18 points during their run. Hungate had two aces and provided three points during their run to get them back in the game during the second set. 

The Lady Varsity Rams at this point were 2-0 in conference and 6-2-1 overall. Their next games were at the Rock Falls tournament on Saturday, September 6th, 2025.
