Wrestling Our Way to the Top

Senior, Jake Schradeya, takes 1st place at Regionals at home.

On Saturday, January 31, 2026, the Riverdale High School Wrestling Team competed in Regionals at Riverdale Senior High School. Riverdale placed 4th out of 12 teams. These are the individuals that are advancing to Sectionals in Byron on February 13 and 14, 2026: Ben Porter (120 lbs) in 3rd place, Dean Wainwright (132 lbs) in 1st place, Jay Orr (138 lbs) in 2nd place, Jake Schradeya (215 lbs) in 1st place, and Henry Schradeya (285 lbs) in 3rd place! Overall, everyone competed great, and the advancing athletes are preparing for Sectionals at Byron on February 14 and 15th.
