Best Singers in the State
Mr. Reece and Noah Dolan walk the halls for a State Walk before heading to Peoria.
On Friday, January 30th, Junior, Noah Dolan, traveled to the Illinois All-State Choir Concert in Peoria, Illinois. The All-State Choir Concert is a prestigious and highly competitive ensemble composed of students from all over the state. To qualify, one has to submit a video performance and then the top performers are selected for the event. The programs took place over the course of four days, January 28th, 29th, 30th, and 31st. The main concert took place on January 31st at 1:00 pm. The whole school lined the halls to wish Noah good luck at the end of the day on Thursday, January 29th. When asked about the experience, Noah said that “the choir sang beautifully” and that he was “really happy to be a part of something so magical.” He most enjoyed listening to the other groups perform and watching how the music unified everybody in the crowd. This was the third time the talented Noah Dolan has been selected to participate in the All-State choir and the first time he participated in the Honors Choir. He is looking forward to the opportunity next year!
