Girl’s Basketball and Teacher Appreciation Night

On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, the Riverdale High School Girl’s Basketball Team  played the Alleman Pioneers. The Lady Rams  won the game 54-46, their record is now 24-3. It was also teacher appreciation night, which honors teachers and everything they do. The varsity girls basketball players each pick a teacher to honor between the junior varsity and varsity game.  They are announced and walk with their chosen staff member, and present them with a gift. This was a tradition Coach Hatch started here at Riverdale. The game was a close game but Coach Hatch was able to get plays in and was able to secure the win. The girls worked together and used what they learned to get back into the game. Seniors like Evelyn Mattison walked with Mr. Turkal, Keira Gibbons walked with her ACC teacher, Adysen McLaughlin walked with Dr. Brooks, Katie Cox walked with Ms. Bugos. Thank you teachers for everything you do!
