Rams At State!
On October 10th, the Riverdale Rams Boys Golf Team concluded its season with a 3rd-place finish at the IHSA Class 1A State Finals. The Rams had fought hard, bringing them from sixth to third place after shooting the lowest team score of the day. The golf program was thankful for the support it received from families, the community, and the school. There was also a parade for the boys held in Port Byron, congratulating them on all the hard work they had put in throughout the season. Junior, Dylan Watson, said “State was rough the first day, but [we] battled back up into 3rd place from 6th on the second day.” When he was asked what kind of traits you need to have to be a good golf player, he responded with “patience is one of the most important traits to see success.”
